Being Safe

  1. Meet at a public place.
  2. Date in public for a while.
  3. Ask/discuss his/your sexual health and history.
  4. If you’re casually hooking up and meeting for the first time try a sex-friendly venue – try The Rec Room.
  5. Your health is important, protect yourself from STD’s by using a condom.
  6. Be open about your current health.
  7. If you are a first time Grindr user, learn the lingo – this way you know what your sexual partner expects and if you would be comfortable with it.
  8. Ask for pics, not just 🍆 pics, pics of his face.
  9. Facetime or Video Call, sometimes people won’t mind a brief chat before hooking up.
  10. Share your location with a friend, let them know you’re hooking up and if they don’t hear from you in a few hours they should check in.
  11. Talk about what you want to do before sex, many people don’t want to use condoms or do not have condoms and you can pick them up on your way over or if you feel uncomfortable without condoms, then you shouldn’t hookup.
  12. If you don’t feel like hooking up, don’t. You can leave at anytime even if you feel like they weren’t being honest about their physical appearance. People can be dishonest and use old pictures of themselves. If you feel like they werent honest or if your just not feeling into it anymore, you should just leave.
  13. Enjoy your life, express your sexuality but be safe and smart while doing so.
